FRD import returns "null"

Post by Wergilius »

Hi,

I'm running 2.5.19 and msextra pre3.3.2beta6, i'm using an external usb logger to collect frd files.
If I open an "old" frd file, I get firmware mismatch (correct).

But when I try to process a new frd file I get this error:
frd.jpg
If I look in the frd file it looks ok, firmware correct, data length ok and a new data seems
to be started on the correct byte (51+d1+2=124):
frdhex.jpg
I do not know why there is an entry on byte 20 but on older frd there was an entry there as well.

Suggestions welcome :?:

one detail that could maybe make a difference, I have also added a can device TinyIOX since I previous tried the frd import function.

if I remove the TinyIOX from the project import works ok. I can't decide if this should be the correct behavior since it seems that
Tunerstudio is expecting FRD data from the CAN device but the FRD signature doesn't contain any firmware data from any more devices.

I'll try the new release and see if it makes any difference.

I can see where the CAN controller might be causing a problem. I will have a look at that.
For now I guess it might be easiest to create a 2nd project with just the main controller.
