You need the Beta TunerStudio (as it says in the README.TXT !)

Ah yes, the instructions! Now that I've read them  I see that alpha 12 and latter requires Beta Tuner Studio!
Thanks for the quick reply!

OOOOOHH im gonna hafta try this out on the race car, im still ru;nning 1.01 in it. ive been wanting to ask for a spark retard decay for launch so d dont blow the tires off or put out my back when i release the trans brake.

i looked at the features in tuner studios, the spark decay is obvious but can you elaborate a little on the the throttle stop and trans brake functions?

Nope. If it's not in the changelog it wasn't changed.

Ok, I can wait but one question on the present AC controls, on the "TPS Hysteresis %", just want to be sure, the setting is the amount of % before turning back on, correct? For example, Turn off at 85% TPS and Hsteresis set at 75% then the AC would turn back on at 10% throttle? Just want to spread them out as much as possible for now.

thanks, wd

When AC is engaged, the load goes up which can throw off the lockout detection MAP setting.

MS3 pre-1.1 beta 21 released

Ok, so I finally updated to this firmware from alpha 18 and the TPSdot is so smooth I'm loving it. Should make tuning AE a lot easier.

Updated today from beta 20 to beta 21 and switched to new accel-pump. I love it! It works very well and is quite easy to tune.

But what I found is that I had to make full VE map leaner?
Also there seems to be misfires when I idle. Engine also idles quite high and even when I made PID more aggressive it doesn't meet target rpm. Engine also get's quite hot when idling and idle advance is almost constantly negative (because of idle timing correction). Vacuum in manifold seems to be lot of higher than before. Looks like timing advance is more than before? I don't have timing light now that I could check it but something odd there is..

Ps. Old loader is still in distribution, which is not working for me

EDIT: ADDED log from beta 20 without misfire

The accel pump should not have affected any of the rest of what you're seeing. In fact, nothing that changed should be affecting what you're seeing.

However, we'll look into it since you're the second person to report odd issues in places where nothing has changed.

I think I have found reason for misfiring. For some reason (because of erroneous timing?) engine was running idle with less fuel. PW went so small that it was in non-linear area of injectors -> time by time injector didn't open -> misfire.

But why timing was incorrect?

Flashed beta 21 - no issues identified still.

One small query, the "prime pulse delay". It appears that the fuel pump prime is hard fixed at 2 seconds and the delayed prime injector shot will not extend that pump prime time - i.e. if you set the prime delay to 2.5seconds, 0.5 seconds after the pump shuts off you'll get a squirt. Is that right?? I thought the prime delay would extend the time the pump ran so the pump would run for the delay time, fire the squirt and then let the pump finish off its normal 2 second prime?

I only ask the question as my pump has no check valve and priming my lines has always been an issue when cold. Coupled with aeromotive regulators not keeping rail pressure when you shut off the car (they're notorious for this). Cold starts can require some work but when Al put the prime delay into the B&G code, i'd set my delay to 2 seconds so my prime sequence was 4 seconds in total which would let the car fire each and every time.
