Efi wiring question

Postby TTC » Mon Jul 30, 2012 12:25 pm

Im rewiring me entire efi setup. I have a separate relay with a 5a fuse for ecu and a 20a fuse for the bay. Is it a bad idea to run just one 20amp line to run just my injectots and cop? I don t have much else that draws much current in my engine bay. The ms schematics don't say otherwise. Thx tom

I prefer to run seperate fused power for injectors and coil(s) but you _should_ be ok. Do reduce the MS fuse from 5A to 3A though, safer that way. What I am doing on my new (for me) car is running 2 EFI main relays. Each one is rated at 40A and powers 4 ATO fuses. This way I can run a seperate fused power circuit for MS, injectors, coils and various other electrical components under the hood.
