Nissan L28ET tuning

Post by sleeper78z »

I think I finally have all my mechanical issues sorted. Cam is dialed in according to the card. Distributor is finally close to the proper location. Although I have next to no vacuum at idle, it does idle, and ignition timing is steady at 20 BTDC.

I need some direction on tuning. I have been running the Tunerstudio VE Analyze, and it makes changes to the VE map, but I still have an occasional misfire I can see on the tach, and it hesitates a lot on mild acceleration. If I could have confirmation on my configuration, I have attached that and a datalog of me driving around the block. I hope I'm not being too thick headed about this, I am still on a pretty steep learning curve.

Thanks so much for any help.

I'm seeing a loss of sync problem; can you capture the loss of sync with a tooth log?

Composite tooth log posted. There seem to be many instances of sync loss.

Reloaded the original file, all 1.2MB, I guess I didn't edit it correctly.

Something appears to have gone wrong in editing the file; it will not open in TunerStudio.

I replaced the file with the original. I guess OpenOffice doesn't properly edit the .CSV.
