^this.
- download wiring diagram manual
- Take your time and triple check wirings, because in that car it's easy to be fooled thinking to be in right.
- test with a DVOM every inj. in test mode http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms3/testmode.html

if you don't have 12v at injectors, give a check if injector relay (Main DME Relay in picture below) is switching, the +12v to injectors and other sensors come from there(relay colors may be different but this is their position):

Yes, I'm getting stable rpm signal. I will check it again, but I didn't change their 12V supply.

jsmcortina wrote:Why are you running the alpha code?

Unless you can get the injectors and coils working correctly in test mode you shouldn't be trying to start the engine.

James

I didn't try to start the engine, I'm just cranking. Of course I will get sparks and injections working correctly first.
I'm running the alpha code because you told me so, which code should I run?

Ok, I made a test and now I'm a little bit more confused. The injections are getting 12V from the battery and ground from the MS3X as well.
With the MS3 powered on and the injection pluged I saw 0.19V on the MS3X output. Sounds normal.
With the MS3 powered on and the injection unpluged I saw 9V on the MS3X output. Probably also sound normal.
The output test didn't give any result, except from the fuel pumt which turns on and off as it should.
Is it possible that the injection are working but I can't see that? I know how they sounds. I putted 5ms pulse and 1000 injections
Any ideas :?:

Ah, that was due to your unreliable serial communications wasn't it.

Do the injectors work if you ground them ?

Yes James, I had terrible communication problems till now. Now MS3 turns on and off without any problems. Should I run a different code?
The injections are working fine if I manually ground them.
Do you think that I have made any wrong configuration?
While cranking yesterday I saw pulses in TS, but I didn't hear the injections(maybe I couldn't).
I started thinking that the output test has the problem. As I said once, I can't work the ignition logger also because it gets on and off-line continuously....

Yesterday I installed the stock ECU to go for a ride and charge my battery.
I hope today to install Megasquirt again so I can do more tests with the injections. I will also try to work one coil with a transistor from an old Motronic ECU.
I think that the problem is coming from TS, because my jimstim isn't working well with it (TPS is always -17% and rpm always 0) and when I try to work the ingition logger it becomes on-line and off-line continuously. So I'm starting to believe that the output test has issues also.

As I said, when I crank the engine I see pulse widths. Is it possible to see pulse widths in TS but the same time Megasquirt does not ground the injections?
I also see in TS a little bit(~1V) lower battery voltage than my multimeter (connected directly to the battery) says.

There was a bug in TS 1.079 at least. Upgrade to 1.080 and the composite logger is working again.

James TS 1.080 didn't work. I was getting this message all the time in two different computers before and after the reflash. I installed 1.079 again.

Something is very badly wrong with your serial communications. I don't think you are going to have any success until you are able to fix it.

You are getting this message with the new serial and 1.080 TunerStudio?

Can you send your TunerStudioLogFile.txt?

Yes, Matt loaded as I know a new serial and I'm getting this message in TS 1.080.
I attached the txt but not from the PC I'm working on my car. I run TS with the jimstim on this PC, but the message and the procedure was the same.

PS. Before I saw the message, the NEED BURN light was lighting.

You need to attached the logfile from the PC that is giving that message, when it gives the message. That's what Phil needs to see.

I am getting this message from both computers I have tried it. I just pointed out that this one was with the jimstim on and not on the car.

I don't have the txt file from the computer I use on the car because I have gone back to TS 1.079 in that computer in order to work.

That file shows where you got the error, but gives no details.

Any chance you can run with comm Debug turned on, get the error message, then send the log file?

Ok. I'm getting the message using the jimstim, because I installed the stock ECU while waiting for the BIPs.
I sent you the txt via e-mail because of its size. Let me know if this is what you want.

Hello again,

I'm going to fit the BIPs the next days so I want to ask if the 330Ohm resistors are fine to use them with my MS3X.

Thanks,
Konstantinos
