Ability to scroll in logs

I think it would be nice to change what happens in a log when you use the scroll on the mouse.

Currently it zooms in and out. I would like it to scroll through the log, but with one scroll detent I would only like it to move the log about 1/4 of the screen. (maybe even less)

It is nice to have the ability to zoom with the scroll so maybe you could make it still work by holding ctrl down and scrolling.

It just seems to me that this is how it should work. It would at least make it easier for me to filter through big SD logs.

ctrl-scroll is pretty typical for zoom and normal scrolling by screens (NOT records--let the arrows continue to do that) would be cool.

I could make it an option.

One thing I have learned is once you make something work a way, even if it is really stupid, it always needs to support that forever more or I will get many many complaints

I could deal with an option. As long as I didn't have to pick that option every time a new version came out.

This is in the 3.02 release, but it had me wondering... I still prefer to navigate through the log the old way of dragging the Mouse across the status bar.
This had me wondering if maybe it wasn't very noticeable or intuitive that you could do that?

Ohh wow, I like the scrolling left right with the wheel....nice. I always can always use the arrows to zoom still, the scrolling with the arrows in still nice too because its really fine scrolling but the wheel works great now for the coarse scrolling. Well done, good suggestion guys.

Bump, I love this feature, but it would be nice if it didn't jump so far in the log.

I'm not sure if it's because I use a large monitor (23 or 27 inch depending on my location) but it makes it hard to look for particular events when my eyes have to look back and forth when scrolling.

Also, it would be nice to be able to zoom when holding CTRL down and moving the scroll wheel.

It moves by 1/4 of what is on the screen for each wheel click, so if you have it bigger on the screen it will move more records on each roll.

I still prefer to click on the graph, then it jumps to there and you control how much it moves. On fast scans through, I drag along the blue bar at the bottom.

Simple sensible request. I put it in for the next release quick before I for got.
