Whats the plan when Win8 gets released at the end of this year? Can one just install the latest TS release/beta straight to one of these devices and connect through bluetooth to MS? Any ideas on what might come of this?

Can't say for sure yet... I really don't have much info on Windows 8, especially the ARM Tablet version.
But I suspect TS will be able to run on it. Any tablets with x86 should be easy enough, ARM based ones may need more driver sorting out.

So far, the applications that run correctly in Win7 are running in Win8.
Haven't tested TS though.

I have TS runing actually on a x86 tablet pc with Windows 8 Consumer Preview and it works fine. I have bluetooth issue with the driver tough so I have not tested yet.

TunerStudio is mostly written in Java, with the serial driver being written in the native processors language.
Even so, Sun/Oracle would need to release a Java runtime for Windows8 ARM to at least fire up TS.
