MS3X setup for LS1 engine and Baro correction

Postby dochka » Fri May 04, 2012 5:32 pm

Hi,
I'm recently megasquirting an ls1 engine from a camaro 99 model installed in a Nissan s13 chassis, and would like to know if i have to adjust anything in the MS3X card ? I didn't touch it yet...
Also how to add a second MAP sensor for barometric compensation ?
I'm a newbie in the ls engine family world, can anyone help me out with some wiring and technical info, like the firing order convention terminology? I mean where is piston number one and how to count the rest ???
What is the type of the crank and cam sensors? I mean are they both VR or Hall type ?
How to setup and wire the idle control valve ?
And finally how to make the Nissan tacho work...

Thanks a lot for your help :)

Almost everything you need to know is in the Documentation here at MS3efi. Your number one cylinder is the furthest forward on crank side, which should be right hand if you standing in front of the crank. I believe GM uses all Hall sensors and depending on how your MS3 - MS3x was built you may need tweak some things or send it back in to be setup for a LS motor. I used the LS MAP sensor via ext.map and used on board MAP for Baro .
