why aren't EAE adhere and suck tables like ve?????????????

Postby weeblebiker » Thu May 10, 2012 8:00 pm

really
if the rational is to model the fuel pool on the walls which varies in size depending on load and rpm (like ve), why isn't both adhere to walls constant and sucked from walls constant set up as a load vs rpm with the constant as the z axis variable like ve is set up to better depict how much fuel is being added or sucked from the walls?
the constant vs temp can still be a graph like warm up is.

I don't see how two graphs can accurately model how much fuel is being added or subtracted to the walls, isn't this why two graphs are not used to calculate how much fuel needs to make it into the combustion chamber?
so why is eae set up with graphs and not tables?

Because all the research I did showed that only curves are necessary. Also, X-tau started out as a large table and a constant and it was nearly untunable. Later it was made similar to what we have with EAE with the 6 curves.

True, I have the T-shirt to prove it. :)

I was thinking individual tables for adhere and for suck.

my setup seems to be more affected by air flow (rpm graph) than by tps positon (load graph) on mild to moderate and the divergence is greater at lower rpm and the difference between low rpm parking lot cruise (relativley stable fuel pooling) and decellerating to a lower cruise rpm/load from higher rpm/load (all the fuel sucked off) is wildly different. I've been trying to set up the eae the standard way and havent been able to get anything reasonable under 2500-3000rpm.

This is because the fuel injectors are in the itb injector location which is 3" up stream from the origenal location of the injectors, there is also a vacuum rail for the brake booster down stream from the injectors.

planning on changing my stratagy
setting up the load base graphs at 3k rpm and straight lining both load atx and sfw graphs then adjusting the rpm atw and sfw before adjusting the load atw and sfw.

don't suppose we could get a rpm range or limit on the regular ae? to turn it off say above 2000 rpm? be able to use ae as a low rpm assist without it buggering with eae up in the driving rpms.

Doesn't it do that now?

If it does where is the limiting rpm field located?
my understanding is that both ae and eae is always on but ae is disabled for low to moderate acceleration by entering a high threshold; making ae usable for slamming the throttle open. but enter a low ae threshold and ae buggers with eae.

the one known solution for this issue with itbs is to build a manifold with fuel injectors as close as possible to the intake valves and further from the throttle plates.

In AE there are two rpm points; one where taper starts and one where it ends (AE=0% of AE table entry)

I wrote part of those docs so I'm pretty sure you'll find it here:

I ASSUMED those 2 rpm points were used to range both ae and eae since they are in the select window and not in the ae wizard.

I don't think so but Ken would have to verify.
I think EAE works all the time by the curves only because it works from a model

EAE works all the time. Normal AE and the new accel pump AE work according to the RPM limits.

one last but important question.
what is the hierarchy of ve,ae, eae and accel pump ae as they affect injector pulse width?

VE generates the main pulse width.

EAE uses the VE table for some of its calculations.

EAE and AE are both added. EAE also uses the fuel added by regular AE for its calculations.

The accelerator pump setting is an alternative to regular AE.

Nah, don't think that happened.... Remember the problem I had with memory and trying to get the new AE pump code to work in a new ppage.... Caused all sorts of issues.

Would love to see it working though.

so
eae(ve + ae) or ve+eae(ve)+ae+eae(ae) ?

your statement was kinda circular so I'm still unshure.
don't really need to know the transformation math, just the which algorithum affects which
