8pin HEI ground wire???

I am using this:

at the section "External Wiring with a V3.0 Main Board"
as my wiring diagram ( I saw no "extra" specific diagrams)

Looking at this page for reference:

at the section "Wiring the HEI module:"

I see that the ground pin is missing in the diagram. It states above it that that the "G" pin is for a ground. Is that just a standard ground to the engine block, or is that tied to the sensor ground pin #19?

The reason I ask is because of this article:

at the section "How do I wire it up?"
shows the "G" pin going to the TPS return. The diagram above shows that TPS return is going to the sensor ground?



To confuse things further for me,

shows "G" going to pin #26 not #6 as stated in (http://www.msextra.com/doc/ms2extra/MS2 ... htm#wiring)
and also shows using a relay?

I'm going to start building my new ECU and upgraded stim this weekend. Id like to finish the harness before then.

In a nut shell, I just need to know what ground to tie the "G" pin to on the 8pin HEI (sensor ground from ECU or the ground wires going to the engine block).

Just posted in a similar thread - I believe it's a logic ground with the power ground supplied by the module's mounting pad.

I'll take a look at the manual. However, do be sure to only use the MSEXTRA manuals. The "megamanual" can be quite different and incorrect for MS1/Extra, MS2/Extra or MS3.

I updated the MS2 and MS3 manual pages to include HEI8 diagrams and show the G pin.
